Placer County accepting applications for North Auburn MAC vacancy

Placer County is seeking applications to fill a vacant seat on the North Auburn Municipal Advisory Council (MAC). The North Auburn MAC, composed of four members representing District 5 and three members representing District 3 at-large, is an advisory board for the Placer County Board of Supervisors on issues or concerns within its service area. According to the county, MACs are designed to provide local public forums where land use, transportation and general county information are shared and discussed. The North Auburn MAC webpage notes individuals wanting to serve are required to be residents, property owners or business owners or managers operating a business within the council's boundaries at the time of appointment and during term of office. "As a MAC member, you'll have the opportunity to provide valuable insights and recommendations to help shape the future of North Auburn," the county said in a newsletter. "Appointed by the Board of Supervisors, your involvement ensures that local concerns are heard and addressed."
