Johnny Lee Miller 1/24/1953 - 7/31/2024

Johnny Lee Miller, born January 24, 1953 to John Wesley Miller and Mary Jane Smith Montgomery passed away in his home July 31, 2024 holding the hand of his true love. He lived a life of gratitude by sharing his time, talents and resources. He was always looking out for others so they might have opportunities. Aside from his deep love and commitment to his family, humor was always his top value in life. Anyone who has ever met Johnny Miller for a moment or a lifetime, knows he's a larger than life character that will make you laugh and never stop. His silly antics, lyrics, phrases and physical comedy will live on forever. When you catch yourself saying "Shake a tower" (Take a shower) or "Fart Smeller" (Smart Feller) or making up a song on the spot, that's Johnny. He always went out of the way to make someone laugh, bring a smile to their face, lighten a load. John loved to travel and explore treasures of the world and embark on those adventures with the ones he loved. He enjoyed sharing so many trips with his oldest daughter. Having visited every continent and countless countries, he loved Lake Tahoe and Middle Fork of the Salmon river most of all. As an entrepreneur running Milco Development all his life he believed anything was possible with planning and hard work. He shared his passion and deeply valued supporting young entrepreneurs in their aspirations, including his younger daughter and a dream to run a gym. He started his career with a brief stint in residential real estate inspired by his father followed by a quick shift to commercial and industrial real estate at the Ashwill Burke company. Johnny had early success at Ashwill closing a big transaction that enabled him to buy his first couple of industrial buildings. From there Johnny went to work at Cushman and Wakefield where he continued to be a top producer of industrial building sales and leasing. It was then he decided to form Milco Development and became an early pioneer in the development of the Corona Industrial Park. As Milco grew, he engaged in multiple investments and developments across Southern California. In the late 1990's Johnny expanded Milco to the Sacramento area continuing to invest and develop in that region. Milco continues today to manage its assets with a professional in house team of real estate professionals. We can all hope to have a friend like Johnny in our lives. One of his oldest and dearest friends met Johnny after Cushman and Wakefield acquired Industrial Brokers, when their cubicles were 10 feet apart. Johnny had a "corner cubical" with windows as he was a big producer. From the first day he noticed Johnny was head down totally focused on his next big deal. They became fast friends for more than 40 years sharing experiences in life and business along the way. True unconditional love and support, year after year, decade upon decade. Day or night he was a listening ear, a wealth of encouragement and a silly story to lift your spirits. He will be deeply missed especially by his two daughters, and the love of his life.
