Epic Powerhouse Pub an entertainment hub

Folsom's Powerhouse Pub in the Historic District celebrated 25 years of success Tuesday night, with a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony. The location of the Powerhouse has been through all sorts of evolutions, from a livery stable to a car dealership, but for the past several decades the space has been used for live music performances and as a popular community night spot. The Powerhouse Pub began as a one bar and one stage spot but has grown into a unique entertainment hub with five bars and three stage areas. Live music plays daily, except for Mondays. Thousands of people stop by the Powerhouse weekly to enjoy a specialty drink or hear live music. The spot is also a visual extravaganza, especially its vibrant dance floor. Right now, the Powerhouse Pub is especially festive with its Halloween décor. A large number of people turned out to celebrate the anniversary, including Folsom Mayor Mike Kozlowski and representatives for Congressman Kevin Kiley, Assemblyman Josh Hoover, Senator Roger Niello and Supervisor Susan Frost.
