Raymond Bruce Brewer 10/3/1969-10/18/2024

Raymond Bruce Brewer peacefully passed away after a battle with cancer on October 18, 2024, in Nevada City at the age of 55. Raymond's father was serving our country in the military when Raymond was born in Germany on October 3, 1969. The family moved with the military assignments until they settled in Sacramento where Raymond attended Cordova High School. Raymond made a great number of lifelong friends while in school, and enjoyed his time on the football field as a Lancer with his team members. Known for his loving, generous and outgoing nature, Raymond was loved by many. He devoted much of his time to the Auburn Jeep Club where is served terms as president and treasurer. He also was a past member of the The Placer County Search and Rescue 4-wheel drive team and involved in many Relay for Life events for the American Cancer Society, which highlighted his adventurous spirit and dedication to community service. Raymond was committed to his role as an IT specialist at the State of California CalPers where he worked for many years. He always made himself available to assist his co-workers with problems they encountered with compassion and a dash of humor as needed. His dedication, and steady demeanor was much appreciated by his colleagues. He leaves behind his loving wife of 21 years, Katherine Brewer, and cherished sister Kay Ramos. He was a devoted uncle to Kerrie Anne Waltz and John Ramos, and could be relied on to help with problems or be a good listener while offering his unwavering support. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Bruce Brewer and Gertrude Brewer, and his sister Yasmin. A Memorial Service to honor his life and legacy, will be held at Auburn Regional Park on November 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory. His kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
