Betty Longway 9/30/1928 - 1/21/2025

Lifelong Roseville native Betty Longway passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025 at the venerable age of 96 years. Born September 30, 1928 to parents Arthur and Eileen Williams. Her family's roots trace back to the era of the 49ers who came to California for gold. Betty lived a life full of exciting world travel, hard work, and innumerable warm family gatherings. She was married to Harry Longway for 49 years until his passing in 2006. To all of us she was the Queen Mother of the family, much beloved by all. She was preceded in death by brothers Arthur Jr. and Ron Williams. She is survived by children Dianne Powell, Carol Stannard (Lou), Lynn Longway (Ken Cawley), and Curt Longway (Connie Barton), and seven adult grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. While keeping the household together, she also worked for many years as a purchasing agent for the Roseville Telephone from which she retired in 1986. She spent her final days in the home of daughter Lynn, aided in her care by daughter Carol Stannard. Hers was a life well-lived.
