Man arrested for multiple cases of indecent exposure in Folsom

Folsom Police arrested a man for a string of indecent exposure incidents in the community. Luis Alonso Hernandez, 46, of Rancho Cordova was arrested by Folsom Police for multiple counts of indecent exposure and annoying/molesting a minor after several incidents in which Hernandez was allegedly seen exposing himself to people in the community, including children. The first incident occurred Jan. 25 in the 1100 block of Duchow Way. Two juveniles were playing on a playground when they saw a man standing next to a white Honda in a nearby alleyway, according to Folsom PD. The children saw the man had his genitals exposed and was staring at them; the man then got into his car and drove away. This incident was also captured on security video. The incident was reported, and Folsom Police say they launched an extensive investigation, were able to link the car to a suspect and were searching for him. Another incident occurred on Feb. 8 in the 1100 block of Sibley Street: A juvenile saw a man drive near them in an apartment complex. The man was reported to be staring at them and exposing his genitals and touching himself. The suspect then fled in a white Honda. Shortly after the Feb. 8 incident was reported, another report came in from the 1100 block of Duchow Way in which an adult resident reported seeing a man driving a white Honda and what she believed to be the man touching himself inappropriately. This resident contacted Folsom Police to report the incident. Folsom Police credit the alertness of the resident who called 911; officers found Hernandez behind a nearby business in the 500 block of East Bidwell Street. He was arrested and booked into Sacramento County Jail. Folsom Police say Hernandez was seen driving a 2022 white Honda Civic during all the incidents. Investigators believe there may be other people in the community who have been victims.
