UPDATE: Wanted suspect detained in Auburn

The Auburn Police Department confirmed at 7:05 p.m. the suspect who was previously at large Friday afternoon was detained without incident. "There is no ongoing threat to the public at this time," APD stated on its Facebook. APD sought the public's assistance in locating the suspect, identified as Levi Eugene Wilson. The police department reported Wilson was wanted for vehicle theft and resisting/obstructing an officer from performing their duty. According to the online arrest report, Wilson was also charged with burglary and remains in custody with bail set at $180,000. An arraignment was scheduled for Wilson on Tuesday, June 3, at 1 p.m. Friday afternoon, a shelter-in-place order, which included EV Cain School, was issued and later lifted around 2 p.m. APD thanked the community and partner agencies CHP, the Rocklin Police Department and Placer County Sheriff's Office for their assistance in bringing Wilson into custody safely.
