Lori Lambert 2/9/1952 - 5/2/2025

On the morning of May 2nd, 2025, Lori Lambert passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. She was 73 years old. Lori was born on February 9th, 1952, in San Jose, California, and was lovingly raised alongside her sister Lonna by Ann and Terry MacDowell, both of whom preceded her in death. In 1984, she moved with her husband to Newcastle, California, where she found joy in the foothills and embraced the semi-rural lifestyle she came to love. Lori lived her life for others. She was endlessly giving—devoted to her family and friends, always willing to go above and beyond for the people she cared about. Her home was a gathering place, especially during the holidays. She loved to travel, host, and celebrate life, including her beloved annual Christmas party. She was also a woman of strength and determination. While raising two young daughters and undergoing treatment for cancer, she returned to college and earned her degree—setting an inspiring example of resilience and perseverance for her children. Her ability to move forward with courage and optimism was a defining part of her character. A lover of the outdoors, Lori found peace and joy in camping, visiting lakes, and spending weekends with friends and family on countless memorable trips—including many cherished vacations with close friends Mark and Nancy Savage. She was a classic rock fan who brought a sense of adventure and fun to every experience. She was active in her community, deeply involved in her daughters' school activities and sports teams, often serving as PTA volunteer and team mom. In her later years, she found joy and sisterhood with the Red Hat Society, frequently attending and hosting their vibrant events. She was proud of her deep California roots, with a family history stretching back to her great-grandmother's birth in New Almaden in the 1800s. Lori's legacy is one of love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to those around her. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Roy Lambert; her daughters, Shelly Willis (husband Leonard Willis) and Joanna Lambert; her cherished grandson, Tucker; her sister, Lonna Giles; and her lifelong friend, Sue Wingate. A Celebration of Lori's Life will be held on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 195 Pine Street, Auburn, California. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a cause close to your heart, in honor of Lori's generous spirit. She will be missed beyond measure and remembered with love, always.
