Westbrook subdivision approved for west Roseville

Roseville officials approved the 53-lot Westbrook subdivision plan last week for the growing western Roseville area. During the regular bi-monthly meeting June 4, the Roseville City Council approved the Westbrook Parcel 2 final map and subdivision agreement with Taylor-Morrison for the housing tract in the new Sierra Vista neighborhood. The Roseville Engineering Department completed the review of the final map, creating 53 residential lots and five landscape lots. Three new Roseville streets are born – Rain Shadow Way, Moon Dust Drive and Sun Point Way. Meanwhile, the city of Roseville has annexed enough land westward to reach past Watt Avenue in the Sacramento suburbs all the way to Rio Linda. Watt Avenue becomes Santucci Boulevard at the Roseville city limits and Placer County Line at Baseline Road in the Antelope area. Part of west Roseville is now north of Rio Linda, North Highlands and Elverta. Roseville is the largest city in Placer County with a population of 159,000 in 2023 on 36 square miles. Because the Westbrook final map is consistent the Sierra Vista specific plan environmental impact report of 2010, no new effects are expected and all EIR mitigation measures will be done, staff said. The council approved the project during the non-controversial consent agenda.
