Placer County Supervisor Gore announces reelection campaign

Placer County Supervisor Bonnie Gore announced Monday she will run for reelection for District 1, which she has represented since 2019. "As your supervisor, I've made it my mission to make Placer County the best place to live, work and raise a family," Gore said in a press release. "From addressing homelessness with compassion and accountability to expanding housing, preserving open space and drawing good-paying jobs to our county, I'm proud of what we've accomplished, and I'm even more excited for what's ahead. "Placer County is at a critical moment. We've built safe neighborhoods, a strong local economy and a way of life we're proud of. But outside interests are pushing for excessive taxes, more regulations and shifting resources away from public safety. I believe in local control and in the people who live here – we know what works for our communities, and I'll keep fighting to protect them. "On the Board of Supervisors, and as mayor of Roseville before that, I have always embraced what makes Placer County so special: our community, our trust in one another and our shared values. I've built strong partnerships with local leaders across the political spectrum, and I'm committed to protecting everything we've built by keeping that collaboration front and center. "I'm thrilled to be back on the campaign trail and appreciate the continued support from our residents. It's an honor to serve, and I look forward to earning your trust once again." Gore was first elected to the Placer County Board of Supervisors in 2018 and reelected overwhelmingly in 2022. She currently serves as the board's chairwoman. Before serving on the board, she served on the Roseville City Council from 2012-18, including time as vice mayor and mayor. Supervisor Gore earned her bachelor's degree in Business Management from Santa Clara University. She and her husband, Rob, have one son, Jacob, who recently served in the United States Army, and two daughters "of their hearts," Carmel and Naomi. Supervisor Gore and her husband reside in Roseville.
