Roseville Chamber of Commerce names new CEO

The Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce announced Ananda Rochita as its next chief executive officer, effective Aug. 1. According to a statement from the chamber, Rochita brings deep regional ties and a proven record of strategic leadership in business advocacy, workforce development and public affairs. Rochita currently serves as vice president of communications and strategic initiatives at the California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA), focusing on workforce policy and industry storytelling on a statewide level. In that role, she has led efforts that align business needs with talent development, foster cross-sector partnerships and expand the visibility of California's manufacturing sector, according to the chamber. "Ananda has the vision and leadership experience to help us navigate a rapidly evolving business landscape," said Ann Bouchard, board president of the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce. "Her work across media, public policy and business strategy makes her uniquely equipped to lead the chamber's next chapter — centered on talent pipeline management, economic growth and continued excellence in service to our members." At CMTA, Rochita spearheaded award-winning campaigns for California's manufacturing industry and expanded its visibility on a global scale. She launched the successful "Coolest Thing Made in California" campaign, which generated more than 100,000 public votes and $600,000 in earned media without any advertising spend in its first year. As a spokesperson for manufacturers, Rochita played a key role in shaping statewide communications around legislation affecting workforce development and education, amplifying the voice of industry leaders. Rochita also developed strategic initiatives to grow membership, increase engagement and drive revenue. She oversaw sponsorship development and launched high-impact events including the CMTA MakingCA Conference, CMTA Foundation Golf Tournament and Annual Meeting of the Members — each designed to raise awareness of the industry and inspire the next generation of talent. A former award-winning journalist and anchor for ABC10 in Sacramento, Rochita's work has earned a National Edward R. Murrow Award and multiple Emmy Awards. She holds a master's degree from Georgetown University and a bachelor's degree from Mount St. Mary's University. "I'm incredibly honored to serve as the next CEO of the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce," Rochita said. "After living and serving in this region for nearly a decade, I've seen firsthand the strength, innovation and community that make Roseville such a special place. My career has centered on building connections — from my years as a journalist at ABC10 to leading communications and strategic initiatives at the California Manufacturers & Technology Association. I'm excited to build upon the great work already being done and to help lead the chamber during this pivotal time of growth. The selection followed a comprehensive search led by a nine-member committee of regional leaders representing business, government and education.
