Aerospace Museum offers free summer admission to military families

The Aerospace Museum of California is participating in the Blue Star Museums program for summer 2025, offering free admission to military personnel and their families from Armed Forces Day through Labor Day. The museum will provide free admission to all active-duty military personnel, including National Guard and Reserve members, and up to five family members from May 17 through Sept. 1. While active-duty members receive free admission year-round, the summer program extends that benefit to their families. Military personnel must present their military ID card at the front desk to obtain free admission for their group. Blue Star Museums is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families in collaboration with the Department of Defense and participating museums nationwide. The program provides free summer admission to currently serving military personnel and their families as recognition for their service. The Aerospace Museum of California features exhibits on aviation and space exploration history, displaying aircraft, spacecraft and related artifacts that showcase the region's aerospace heritage. The museum is located at 3200 Freedom Park Drive, McClellan. Regular admission prices are $18 for general admission ages 18 and older, $15 for youth ages 3-17, seniors 65 and older, students with ID, veterans and teachers with ID. Children 2 and under, active military and museum members receive free admission year-round. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed Mondays.
