Folsom Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #929 welcomes distinguished member back home

The Folsom Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #929 announces the homecoming of one of its most distinguished members, Peter Ackers, who has completed his year of service as the 2024–2025 Grand Worthy President of the international Fraternal Order of Eagles. Ackers is a 30+ year member in good standing and has spent the past year traveling across the United States and Canada, visiting more than 350 Aeries and representing the values of service, brotherhood and community that define the organization, according to a statement. Throughout his term, Peter focused his efforts on supporting two causes: Parkinson's Disease research at the University of Iowa and the Mighty Oaks Foundation, which provides faith-based peer support for military veterans, active-duty service members and first responders dealing with PTSD and other challenges. In celebration of Acker's return, the Folsom Eagles Lodge will be open to its members and local invited leaders as guests on Friday, Aug. 8, and Saturday, Aug. 9, starting at noon each day to stop by for food, drinks and fun and games.
