New independent senior living community celebrated in Rancho Cordova

A new independent senior living community in Rancho Cordova is celebrating its grand opening with a two-day event on Aug. 16-17. The public is invited to attend, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Mayor Siri Pulipati taking place Sunday, Aug. 17, at 12:30 p.m. Bear Hollow Estates opened in the spring, offering a live-in management model. The owners, a husband-and-wife team, live in the community full time and are directly involved in daily life. "Our live-in managers are part of the community. They know each resident by name, share meals and are present in the flow of daily life," said Adam Bryan, chief marketing officer at Hawthorn Senior Living. "It's a model rooted in relationships and genuine connections." Operated by Hawthorn Senior Living, the $46.5 million development features 149 maintenance-free apartment homes, available in studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom layouts. All residences are offered through agreements with no long-term contracts or buy-in fees. For safety, apartments include Lively Mobile2 medical alert devices from Best Buy Health. Additional wellness support is available through third-party providers offering speech, occupational and physical therapy, as well as in-home care coordinated directly by residents. Bear Hollow Estates is also in close proximity to the Sacramento VA Medical Center, offering access to essential services for local veterans. Bear Hollow Estates is the sixth Hawthorn Senior Living community in California. The opening brings 50 new local jobs, according to company officials. The grand opening weekend, held in collaboration with the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce, will give the public an opportunity to tour the community, sample chef-prepared dishes, meet the management team and learn more about the vision behind Bear Hollow Estates.
