Rocklin police log: Vehicle code stops lead to arrests

Editor's note: Crime reports are released by the Rocklin Police Department. July 28 At 12:02 a.m. on Highway 65 and Blue Oaks Boulevard, a Rocklin Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation. The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence of alcohol and put through a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. The driver performed poorly and was ultimately placed under arrest. She was transported and booked into the South Placer County Jail. July 29 At 12 a.m. on Placer Corporate Drive and Industrial Avenue, Rocklin Officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. A records check revealed the passenger had a warrant for her arrest. Officers located narcotics, controlled substance and paraphernalia. The driver was arrested and booked at Placer County Jail and the passenger was issued a Promise to Appear citation and released. At 11:20 p.m. on the 3500 block of Sunset Boulevard, Rocklin Officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation, including reckless driving. An investigation revealed the driver was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and booked at Placer County Jail. At 4:35 a.m. on the 4200 block of Sierra College Boulevard, Rocklin Officers observed a suspicious vehicle. Officers contacted the driver and an investigation revealed the driver was in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia. He was issued a Promise to Appear citation and released. July 30 At 4:54 p.m. on the 400 block of Vine Circle, Rocklin Officers responded to a call for service regarding a neighbor disturbance. An investigation revealed a subject attempted to harm another with an object and damaged property. He was arrested and booked at Placer County Jail. July 31 At 12:26 a.m. on Sunset Boulevard and Placer Corp Drive, Rocklin Officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. A records check revealed the driver was on probation. During a probation search, officers located controlled substance, paraphernalia and dangerous fireworks. The driver and passenger were issued Promise to Appear citations and released. At 11:01 a.m. on the 5400 block of Crossings Drive, Rocklin Officers contacted a suspicious vehicle. An investigation revealed the driver was in possession of narcotics, controlled substance and paraphernalia. The driver was arrested and booked at Placer County Jail. At 4:02 p.m. on the 4200 block of Castlewood Street, Rocklin Officers contacted a subject with known warrants. She was arrested and booked at Placer County Jail. Aug. 3 At 1:42 a.m. on Sunset Boulevard and Placer Corp Drive, a Rocklin Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle was found to be on searchable probation and in possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was placed under arrest and later released on his written promise to appear.
