Janitorial Supervisor at Natoma Station Elementary School arrested on sex crime charges with juveniles

A Janitorial Supervisor at Natoma Station Elementary School has been arrested for a variety of crimes, including oral copulation and arranging meetings for sexual encounters with juveniles. According to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, investigators from their office conducted an extensive investigation, which resulted in the arrest of Shawn O'Donnell of Cameron Park on Tuesday, August 5. The first day of school in the Folsom Cordova Unified School District was Thursday August 7. Detectives said they gathered evidence which showed that O'Donnell sent explicit content and arranged meetings for sexual encounters with juveniles. El Dorado County Sheriff's Office officials said during their investigation they discovered O'Donnell was employed as a Janitorial Supervisor at Natoma Station Elementary School. He was arrested and charged with oral copulation with a minor, sending explicit material to a minor, contacting a minor to engage in sex acts, pandering and human trafficking. FCUSD Chief Communications Officer Angela Griffin gave The Folsom Telegraph a statement on behalf of the school district, addressing this disturbing news. "FCUSD is aware of the arrest of Shawn O'Donnell, head custodian at Natoma Station Elementary School. We were made aware of charges against him on Tuesday, August 5, and have been working collaboratively with the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office. We can assure the community that he has no access to any FCUSD campus," said Griffin. "These allegations are disturbing and upsetting. We are told there is no evidence or indication of involvement with FCUSD students. We want to assure our public that the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority, and appreciate the close partnership we have with local law enforcement."
