Food Truck Fiesta to include 2nd annual kickball game

The Auburn Recreation District will host the annual Food Truck Fiesta at Recreation Park this Friday, Aug. 15. Also, Kidzapalooza will be host to its Second Annual Kickball Game at Recreation Park this Friday, with signups at 5:30 p.m. and kickball at 6. Food Truck Fiesta is free to attend and starts at 5 p.m., featuring 11 food trucks, live music, vendors, wine and beer (from Auburn Ale House). As always, the event is a fundraiser for the Auburn Bike Park. The friendly and spirited kickball game pits the Auburn Chamber of Commerce team against last year's champions, the City of Auburn. Last year's game brought together board members of the Chamber, Leadership Auburn alumni, City Council representatives, staff and commissions. The game was expertly refereed by Mr. Woodlee, activities director at the Auburn Unified School District, who kept spirits high and the action fair. The kickball game serves as an energetic kickoff to the fifth annual Kidzapalooza festival at Recreation Park on Sept. 11 from 4:30-7 p.m. Kidzapalooza is a free event open to families and children of all ages.
