Folsom police log: Fake email scam, illegal firearm possession, multiple drunk driving arrests

Bidwell St. and issued a citation for possessing drug paraphernalia. A 54-year-old man from Sacramento was contacted in the 2600 block of E. Bidwell St. and arrested for felony theft and outstanding warrants. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. A 44-year-old man from Sacramento was contacted in the 1000 block of Riley St. and arrested for organized retail theft and possession of drugs, and outstanding warrants. Booked at Sacramento County Jail.A 41-year-old man from Elk Grove was contacted in the 1000 block of Riley St. during a traffic stop and arrested for receiving stolen property, and illegally possessing a controlled substance. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. A 40-year-old man from North Highlands was contacted during a traffic stop at Folsom Blvd./Highway 50 and issued a citation for an outstanding warrant. Forgery/Fraud, 600 block Westchester Dr. Unknown suspect(s) fraudulently gained access to Coinbase account and transferred out $117,000 worth of bitcoin. Aug. 10 Grand theft, 9800 block Greenback Lane. Unknown suspect stole an electric scooter. A 40-year-old man from Carmichael was contacted following a traffic stop at Madison Ave./Blue Oak Dr. and arrested for driving under the influence. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. A 18-year-old man from Oakland was contacted following a traffic collision at Iron Point Road/McAdoo Drive and arrested for driving under the influence. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. Aug. 9 Stolen vehicle, 800 block Reading St. An unknown suspect(s) stole a maroon Hyundai Sonata. A 48-year-old man from Folsom was contacted in the 700 block of Sutter St. and issued a citation for possessing drug paraphernalia. Vandalism, 700 block Traders Lane, unknown suspect(s) damaged fence. Commercial burglary, 1900 block E Natoma St. Unknown suspect(s) stole 20 feet of stainless steel tubing and other hardware. Aug. 8 A 22-year-old man from Citrus Heights was contacted following a traffic collision at Blue Ravine Road/Lake Forest Way and arrested for driving under the influence. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. Petty theft, 500 block Blue Ravine Road. An unknown suspect(s) stole a backpack, laptop and cell phone. Aug. 7 A 33-year-old Folsom man was contacted in the 7500 block of Folsom-Auburn Road and issued a citation for an outstanding warrant. A 52-year-old Folsom man was contacted in the 800 block of Wales Drive and arrested for an outstanding warrant. Booked at Placer County Jail. A 48-year-old woman from Sacramento was contacted in the 800 block of Wales Drive and issued a citation for an outstanding warrant. A 45-year-old man from Folsom was contacted during a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Riley St. and arrested for an outstanding warrant. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. A 60-year-old man from Folsom was contacted in the 1100 block of Riley St. and issued a citation for possessing drug paraphernalia. Commercial burglary, 300 block E Bidwell St. Unknown suspect(s) forced entry into business and stole a paint gun pump, masking tape and plastic wrap. Items later recovered. A 31-year-old man from Folsom was contacted in the 100 block of Iron Point Road and issued a citation for possessing methamphetamine. Aug. 6 A 56-year-old man from Sacramento and a 40-year-old man from Oroville were contracted in the area of Iron Point Road/Black Diamond Dr. The 56-year-old was arrested for possessing drug paraphernalia, drug possession and illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition; he was booked at Sacramento County Jail. The 40-year-old was issued a citation for possessing drug paraphernalia and drugs. An 18-year-old man from Sacramento was contacted in the 13000 block of Folsom Blvd. and arrested for shoplifting and an outstanding warrant. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. Petty theft, 400 block Natoma Station Dr. An unknown suspect stole a flag from the front of a business. A 61-year-old man from Sacramento was contacted at Folsom Blvd./Natoma Station Dr. and arrested for bringing contraband to a jail or prison and outstanding warrants. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. Aug. 5 A 59-year-old woman from Sacramento was contacted during a traffic stop in the 800 block of E. Bidwell St. and arrested for felony drug possession. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. A 36-year-old man from Folsom was contacted following a traffic accident at Sibley St./Levy Road and arrested for driving under the influence. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. A 30-year-old man from Rancho Cordova was contacted at Leidesdorff St./Wool St. and arrested for driving under the influence. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. Aug. 4 A 45-year-old Folsom man was contacted in the 9500 block of Greenback Lane and issued a citation for outstanding warrants. A 78-year-old woman from Folsom was contacted during a traffic stop at Blue Ravine Road/Oak Avenue Parkway and arrested for driving under the influence. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. A 60-year-old man from Folsom was contacted in the 6600 block of Folsom-Auburn Road and issued a citation for possessing drug paraphernalia. Forgery/Fraud, 7000 block Folsom-Auburn Road. Unknown suspect(s) fraudulently obtained $2,000 by sending fake emails from the bank advising the victim to transfer money from the account to Bitcoin.
