Night detour set for Baseline Road in Roseville from Aug. 18-20

Road work is temporarily closing Baseline Road in Roseville between Fiddyment Road and Market Street from Monday through Wednesday, Aug. 18-20. Construction work will be overnight, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., authorities said. Roseville motorists are urged to choose an alternate route or follow detour signs by using Market Street and Vista Grande Boulevard. Allow extra time to travel because there may be delays. Traffic signals will be flashing red, officials said. Drivers should treat the intersection as a stop sign. Motorists should come to a complete stop at the traffic light and look carefully in all directions before proceeding. There will be new lane configurations in place, so follow road markings and signs. Construction is being completed by a private landowner instead of a city-run operation, authorities said. "It's the responsibility of developers to make roadway improvements as part of constructing new neighborhoods," city staff announced online this week.
