Wanda Leola Leibold 7/18/1931 - 7/08/2025

With great sadness and love filled hearts we share the peaceful passing of Wanda Leola Leibold on July 8, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and cherished friend. She was truly the matriarch of our family and she was lovingly cared for and comforted, with family close at hand, as she joined her soulmate and beloved husband to walk together once again.&emsp;&emsp; Wanda was born on July 18, 1931, in Covina, California where she lived until after she graduated from Covina High School and attended Mt. San Antonio College. She worked as an executive secretary through- out most of her long career. All the while she and Lee raised a family of 6 children; a daughter and five sons, living mostly in the Claremont, CA and Scottsdale, AZ areas. During the last two decades, Wanda lived in Grass Valley and Auburn, surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed her years in a local traveling ukulele group and family gatherings. Always with a smile and happy thought, her favorite place was the ocean. The years she and Lee spent together in Crescent City, CA where she enjoyed walks on the beach, collecting shells and driftwood, were some of her fondest memories. Wanda had a flair for interior design, taking classes and pursuing the hobby for friends and family. 'Grammy' will be deeply missed by her children; daughter Vanessa (Michael), and sons David (Grace), Adam and Kelly (Mary) and her many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Gordon and sister Debra and preceded in death by her husband Leo (Lee) Henry and sons, Steven Craig and Todd Lee. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 19th at 1 pm at Hooper and Weaver in Nevada City, California. The family kindly asks that you consider a donation of remembrance to Sutter Auburn Faith Hospice, Auburn, CA in memory of Wanda Leibold. The compassionate hospice care team gave Wanda and the family expert care, loving support and quality of life in her final months.Though she is gone her legacy of love and laughter will live on through all of us who love and miss her.
