Rocklin crime log: Rocklin PD makes several DUI arrests

Editor's note: Crime reports are released by the Rocklin Police Department. Aug. 11 At 2:50 a.m. on Placer Corporate Drive and Technology Way, a Rocklin police officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. During the investigation, the officer discovered the driver was under the influence of drugs while operating the vehicle. When the officer attempted to arrest the driver for DUI, the driver resisted, leading to a brief struggle. The officers successfully subdued the driver, placed him in handcuffs and transported him to South Placer Jail, where he was booked for DUI and resisting arrest. Aug. 13 At 1:30 a.m. on Pacific Street and Midas Avenue, a Rocklin officer stopped a vehicle for moving violations. Upon contact with the driver, he observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication. During his investigation, he determined the driver was in fact under the influence of alcohol while operating her motor vehicle and placed under arrest for DUI. The driver was transported to South Placer Jail for booking. Aug. 14 At 7:20 p.m. on the 5200 block of Rocklin Road, a Rocklin officer contacted a subject at a business parking lot. During his investigation, he discovered the subject had an outstanding felony warrant out of Placer County for theft-related charges. The male was placed under arrest and transported to South Placer Jail for booking. Aug. 15 At 1:27 a.m. on Park Drive and Sunset Boulevard, Rocklin officers responded to a 911 call in which the caller sounded intoxicated. Officers responded to the area of the 911 call and observed a vehicle driving erratically. Officers conducted a traffic stop. An investigation revealed the driver's license was suspended and was required to be driving a vehicle with an interlock device. He was under the influence of drugs and was in possession of paraphernalia. Officers also confirmed he was the person who called 911. He was arrested and booked at Placer County Jail. At 7:54 p.m. on the 6600 block of Stanford Ranch Road, Rocklin officers responded to a call to do a welfare check on a person who appeared to be under the influence. Officers contacted the subject, who was intoxicated and unwilling or unable to answer questions. She was transported to a hospital and issued a Promise to Appear citation. At 9:06 p.m. on Pacific Street and Ruhkala Road, the suspect was stopped at a DUI checkpoint. She appeared to be under the influence. An investigation confirmed she was under the influence of drugs, was in possession of controlled substance and paraphernalia. She was arrested and booked at Placer County Jail. Aug. 16 At 1:12 a.m. on the 6600 block of Stanford Ranch Road, Rocklin officers contacted a suspicious vehicle. A records check revealed one occupant had warrants for their arrest. An investigation revealed they were in possession of various drugs and paraphernalia. One subject was arrested and booked at Placer County Jail. The other was issued a Promise to Appear citation and released. At 2:21 a.m. on the 5400 block of South Grove Street, Rocklin officers responded to a call of a battery. An investigation confirmed a battery occurred. Officers contacted the suspects involved and took them into custody. A records check revealed one subject had a warrant for their arrest. They were arrested and booked at Placer County Jail.
