Folsom police log: Cryptocurrency scam, fraudulent football tickets, possession of brass knuckles

Editor's note: Those appearing in the following crime report have been arrested on suspicion of the crime indicated and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Information is public record, furnished by the Folsom Police Department. Aug. 27 A 36-year-old man from Auburn and a 31-year-old man from Folsom were contacted in the 1600 block of Iron Point Road. The 36-year-old was arrested for receiving stolen property. The 31-year-old was arrested for grand theft, repeat theft offense. Both booked at Sacramento County Jail. Petty theft, 200 block Blue Ravine Road. On Aug. 5, an unknown suspect(s) stole a credit card from a purse. The credit card was later fraudulently used. Grand theft, 1900 block Canyon Terrace Lane. Sometime overnight, unknown suspect(s) stole all wheels from a vehicle. Vandalism, Willow Creek Dr./Echo Ct. Unknown suspect(s) vandalized walls and sidewalk. Aug. 26 A 28-year-old man from Sacramento was contacted during a traffic stop in the Blue Ravine Road/Folsom Blvd. area and issued a citation for illegal possession of nitrous oxide and driving while driving privileges are suspended. A 44-year-old man of NPA was contacted during a traffic stop at Glenn Dr./Coolidge Dr. and issued a citation for possessing drug paraphernalia, possessing methamphetamine and possessing a controlled substance. Petty theft, 1100 block Sibley St. Unknown suspect(s) cut lock and stole bicycle. A 29-year-old man from Sacramento was contacted in the 900 block of Leidesdorff St. and arrested for failure to register as a sex offender. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. A 45-year-old woman from Folsom was contacted in the 500 block of Willow Creek Dr. and arrested for outstanding warrants. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. Aug. 24 A 24-year-old man from Cameron Park was contacted following a traffic stop in the 600 block of Sutter St. and arrested for driving under the influence. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. A 46-year-old man from Los Angeles, a 31-year-old man from Pomona, a 35-year-old man from Chino and a 53-year-old man from Pomona were contacted during a traffic stop in the 13000 block of Folsom Blvd. The 46-year-old was arrested for working with others to steal merchandise, and an outstanding warrant. The other three men were arrested for working with others to steal merchandise. All were booked in Sacramento County Jail. Vandalism, 1000 block River Rock Dr. Unknown suspect(s) broke into a private restroom inside the building. A 27-year-old man from Orangevale and a 38-year-old woman from Orangevale were contacted in the 9700 block of Greenback Lane. The man was issued a citation for possessing methamphetamine. The woman was issued a citation for possessing methamphetamine and a controlled substance. Aug. 23 A 33-year-old man from Sacramento was contacted in the 300 block of Esplanade Cr. and issued a citation for possessing a shopping cart. A 49-year-old woman from Folsom was contacted in the 40 block of Natoma St. and arrested for domestic battery. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. Forgery/Fraud, 100 block E Bidwell St. Unknown suspect(s) fraudulently sold football tickets on ticket. Once they received the funds for the tickets, the suspect(s) blocked the victim and did not provide tickets. A 67-year-old man from Folsom was contacted in the 1000 block of Riley St. and issued a citation for theft. A 33-year-old man from Folsom was contacted in the 90 block of Natoma St. and arrested for robbery. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. Vandalism, 400 block Hansen Cr. Unknown suspect(s) kicked the front door of a residence resulting in damages in excess of $2,500. A 31-year-old man from Orangevale was contacted during a traffic stop in the 9400 block of Greenback Lane. Arrested for possessing drug paraphernalia, possessing a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine and outstanding warrant. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. Aug. 22 Stolen vehicle, 700 block Sutter St. Unknown suspect(s) stole 2017 Toyota Yaris. A 48-year-old woman from Folsom was contacted in the 100 block of Paine Ct. and arrested for violating a protective order. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. Petty theft, 400 Block Blue Ravine Road. Unknown suspect(s) stole scooter from a store. Traffic collision, Glenn Dr./Riley St. Folsom Police responded to a major vehicle collision at the location. A 36-year-old man from Folsom was contacted in the 400 block of Blue Ravine Road and issued a citation for shoplifting. A 61-year-old woman from Folsom was contacted in the 400 block of Stafford St. and arrested for trespassing (business interference). Booked at Sacramento County Jail. Aug. 21 Petty theft, 200 block Baurer Cr. Unknown suspect(s) stole package containing a credit card from a front porch. Credit card later fraudulently used. A 27-year-old man from San Francisco was contacted in the 400 block of Palladio Parkway and arrested for grand theft, providing false ID to a police officer. Booked at Sacramento County Jail. Petty theft, 1000 block E Bidwell St. Unknown suspect entered a store and stole $500 worth of merchandise. A 25-year-old man from Sacramento was contacted in the 1300 block of Folsom Blvd. and issued a citation for possessing methamphetamine and shoplifting.
