Pure Pours & Perfect Pairings, a biodynamic wine and cheese event

An evening of wine, cheese and sustainable winemaking is coming to BriarPatch Food Co-op on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Auburn BriarPatch will host a guided tasting with Katrina Frey, executive director of Frey Vineyards, the nation's first organic and biodynamic winery. Guests will sample a curated lineup of Frey's biodynamic wines, each paired with artisan cheeses and accompaniments from BriarPatch Auburn's Cheese Island. Frey will share the story of how the family-owned vineyard has been pioneering sustainable winemaking practices since 1980. "This event is a chance to taste exceptional wines while also learning how biodynamic methods care for the earth," said Katee Gustavson, community engagement coordinator at BriarPatch Food Co-op. "It's a unique experience that blends flavor, education and community." Tickets are $20 for BriarPatch Co-op owners and $25 for non-owners. Space is limited and advance purchase is required. Tickets are available at briarpatch.coop/event/perfect-pours. The event will be held on the BriarPatch Auburn Patio, 2505 Bell Road.
