Maisch named Roseville planning commissioner

The Roseville City Council on Sept. 3 appointed well-known civil engineer Einar Maisch to fill a vacant seat on the Planning Commission. Maisch's term will expire June 30, 2026. Maisch retired as Placer County Water Agency general manager five years ago after 34 years with the utility. The engineer was among a field of five Roseville residents, including Michael Bradford, Lewis McGeorge, Jason Probst and Jim Ratliff. Appointments are due as a result of an unscheduled vacancy. Andrae Randolph recently vacated his spot on the Planning Commission by moving to a Roseville zip code address outside the city limits, staff said. Video interviews of the applicants were conducted by the City Clerk Department, and the City Attorney's Office reviewed the statements of economic interest for potential conflicts of interest. The seven-member commission undertakes long-range planning decisions and recommendations to the city council for development. Short-range planning efforts include zoning matters, land-use changes, rezones, subdivisions, use permits and variances. The commission is rounded out by Chair Cliff Haggenjos Jr., Vice-Chair Erich Brashears, Bruce Hagler, Robert Jensen, Kim Ryan Unidad and John Pryor. The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall on Vernon Street.
