Rocklin police log: Car thief arrested again

Editor's note: Crime reports are released by the Rocklin Police Department. Sept. 12 At 9:19 p.m. on the 3000 block of 3rd Street, Rocklin officers contacted a subject known to have a felony warrant. She was arrested and booked at Placer County Jail. Sept. 13 At 2:30 a.m. on the 6600 block of Stanford Ranch Road, Rocklin officers contacted a suspicious vehicle. A records check of the occupant revealed he had a warrant for his arrest. On a search, officer located paraphernalia. He was arrested and booked at Placer County Jail. At 11:03 p.m. on the 2200 block of Sunset Boulevard, Rocklin officers contacted an occupied vehicle that was associated with reported crimes. An investigation confirmed the subjects were involved in the previous crimes. Officers located stolen property, controlled substance and paraphernalia. Both subjects were arrested and booked at Placer County Jail. Sept. 14 At 8:30 a.m. on the 5600 block of Bolton Way, Rocklin officers responded to a report of a vehicle theft. During their investigation, they managed to locate the stolen car in a nearby city. A Rocklin detective went to the area where the vehicle was last seen and found it occupied. The suspect inside was detained and discovered to be in possession of the stolen vehicle. Additionally, the suspect had a history of prior vehicle thefts and an outstanding felony no-bail warrant from Placer County, also related to theft crimes. The suspect was arrested on the charges and transported to South Placer County for booking. At 2:30 p.m. on the 5100 block of Commons Drive, unknown suspects entered a local retail store, stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise before fleeing.
