Gordon Dennis Jonas, 75, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025 in Auburn, California after a lengthy and courageous battle with Alzheimers. Born on July 4, 1950, in Sacramento, California. Gordon lived a life marked by dedication to his craft, deep family ties and a love for the outdoors.&emsp;&emsp; Gordon's early years were shaped by the family business. He grew up working in the glass shop his parents Adolph & Edna Jonas owned and operated for three decades. This foundation led him to a lifelong career as a Journeyman Glazier. For 32 years Gordon applied his skill and precision to projects across California, Nevada and Oregon, contributing to the construction of high-rise buildings that still stand as part of his enduring legacy. He shared 55 devoted years of marriage with his beloved wife Sharon. Together they built a home - both literally and figuratively - that stood as a testament to Gordon's craftsmanship and commitment. The house he constructed 47 years ago became the heart of countless family memories. Gordon was a proud father to Adam Jonas (Jen), Holley Brent (Rich), and April Johnstone (Jayson). He found immense joy in watching his grandchildren grow: Riley, Reese and Connor Jonas; Zach and Alex Brent; and Olivia and Kayla Johnstone. Gordon is also survived by his sister Susan Coliton. His extended family included many cousins, nieces, and nephews who were touched by his warmth and generosity. Outside of work and family life, Gordon was an avid fisherman and hunter who found peace in nature. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and took great pride in tackling construction projects around the home he built. Gordon's life was one of quiet strength, skilled labor and unwavering devotion to those he loved. As per his wishes, no formal services will be held. The family graciously asks that any donations in his name be sent to Alzheimer's Association.
