World Animal Day coming to Folsom Zoo

The Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary is hosting a "wild" celebration of World Animal Day on Oct. 4 and 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This special two-day event will feature animal-themed fun for the whole family. Visitors can enjoy kid-friendly activities, snacks and education tables that inspire compassion for all creatures. Patrons can meet some of the remarkable animal residents up close, and learn how supporters can help make a difference. Whether you are a longtime zoo lover or first-time visitor, the event is a great opportunity to connect with animals and celebrate their vital role in our world. Admission fees apply, and all proceeds support animal care and enrichment. Tickets are $10 for adults and children age 2 and older. Children under 2 are free. The fall and winter zoo hours from Oct. 1 through next April 30 are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Last admission is at 3:30 p.m. For more information, visit www.folsom.ca.us/zoo.
