PCWA GM to speak at Navy League meeting

Placer County Council of the Navy League members and guests will hear from Andrew Fecko, general manager for Placer County Water Agency, at its dinner meeting Oct. 20. Fecko has served in the water and energy field for 25 years and has been with PCWA for 15, focusing on licensing the agency's Middle Fork Project and marketing the project's energy output, legislative and regulatory affairs, securing the agency's water rights and entitlements and watershed issues. He has been PCWA's general manager since 2020. Fecko is a graduate of UC Davis and a longtime Placer County resident, living in Foresthill with his wife and two children. The Placer County Council of the Navy League of the United States is a national civilian organization that supports the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and U.S. Flag Merchant Marine. In addition to its 100-plus individual members, the council is supported by three Community Affiliate Members: TGH Aviation, Lassila Funeral Chapel and Chapel of the Hills. The dinner meetings are held on the third Monday of every month at the Auburn Veterans' Memorial Hall, 100 East Street. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for a social hour, followed by dinner and the meeting at 6:30. The dinners are catered at $22 per person, so reservations are necessary and may be made by calling Placer County Council's Bonnie Potter at 530-823-2820 by Friday, Oct. 17.
