'Wild Howl-O-Ween' tickets on sale for Folsom Zoo event

Tickets for the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary Wild Howl-O-Ween are now available, the city announced. Join the Zoo Sanctuary on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the spooktacular family-friendly Halloween event, packed with festive fun, costumes and plenty of treats. Attendees can follow the treat trail through the zoo, meet the animal residents and enjoy activities for all ages. Tickets are limited and sell out quickly, zoo staff said. Admission is $12.99 per person with children under age 2 admitted free. Community bike ride event in Folsom The public is invited to join the 50 Corridor Transportation Management Association and Bike Lab on Saturday, Oct. 25, for a free community bike ride to explore some of Folsom's most scenic and interconnected trails. This fun, family-oriented event welcomes riders of all experience levels and paces. The inaugural Folsom Community Bike Ride is designed to encourage residents to ride more often and build confidence on local trails in a relaxed, supportive group setting. Event organizers urge folks to arrive by 10 a.m. to check in at the Broadstone parking 32 at Palladio and Broadstone parkways. The bike ride launches at 10:15. The 8.5-mile route will generally follow a loop around Folsom Lake College along trails, greenbelts and side streets. A comprehensive map showing elevations, grades and waypoints is available for view at the 50 Corridor website. The event is free to join, but spots are limited. 'Swim with Pumpkins' at Folsom pool Folsom is hosting spooktacular fun at the seventh annual Swim with the Pumpkins on Saturday, Oct. 18. The Halloween event runs from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Steve Miklos Aquatic Center at 1200 Riley Street. The free community event features wet and dry attractions, including a floating pumpkin patch, trunk-or-treat, games, crafts and other Halloween-themed activities. Dress up in your favorite costume or bring a bathing suit and towel to enjoy the fun on dry land or in the pool, and experience a frightfully good time for the whole family. Fall Senior Resource Fair The Fall Senior Resource Fair returns Friday, Oct. 17, from 2-4 p.m. at the Folsom Senior Center. The free event provides a welcoming space for seniors of all ages and abilities to explore valuable resources, health and wellness information and engaging community programs. Attendees can meet local vendors, participate in activities and connect with organizations dedicated to enhancing senior wellbeing.
