Pink Talking Fish headline Halloween bash at Odd Fellows in Auburn

Keep Smilin' Promotions presents a special night of Halloween fun with the amazing Pink Talking Fish and Broken Compass Bluegrass at the Historic and Haunted Odd Fellows Lodge (often referred to as the Foothill Fillmore or Auburn Avalon) on Friday, Oct. 31. This show has been a long time in the works, and an amazing night not to be missed. Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and Phish are all more than just bands, each is a phenomenon. Their creations have artistically inspired people and their mind-blowing live performances have brought people together to form a special sense of community around the love for their favorite band. Although the music from each act is different, Pink Talking Fish has discovered that fusing the material creates an amazing story. The epic emotion of Pink Floyd, the funky, danceable layerings of Talking Heads, the multitude of styles, unique compositional structures and pure fun of Phish – merging these three into one gives music lovers a special experience. But know Pink Talking Fish do not limit their shows to just these three bands; expect the unexpected. Of course, Keep Smilin' Promotions likes to put shows over the top and will be bringing in as a special double bill Broken Compass Bluegrass, so much more than just bluegrass – call it Jam Grass, Dance Grass or get up off you're a$$ Grass! This band is on fire and amazing crowds nationally and internationally. This will be a very special treat. If that is not enough, Liquid Light Productions will be bringing their bag of tricks for this show, an all-encompassing, amazing and mystical multi-media light show that has to be experienced to fully understand. And again it will be Halloween. Tricks and treats are going to be plenty and dress up and get in the mood, this will be Auburn's biggest Halloween party. The hall is located in the 100-year-old Odd Fellows Lodge, right off Interstate 80 in Historic Auburn. While the venue is historic and funky, it features a state-of-the-art sound system that just adds to the fun. This is a 21-and-over show, as the Odd Fellows team (for whom all proceeds go back to the community) will be manning a full bar. While there are a limited number of bench seats for ADA folks on a first-come basis, do know this is a dance concert – not unlike the original Fillmore in San Francisco. Tickets cost $30 from paper vendors, $35 online and $40 at the door and are available locally at Tribal Weaver and Cherry Records in Auburn, and Yabobo and Clock Tower Records in Nevada County.
