UPDATE: Missing Grass Valley woman found

Editor's note: This story was updated at 2:18 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, to confirm the individual has been located. The Auburn Police Department confirmed Friday afternoon 88-year-old Patricia Schrader has been safely located. According to APD, Schrader was reported missing Thursday after she left her family's residence in Auburn at 7 p.m. to drive to home and never arrived. Schrader's sister reported her missing to the department after an hour with no contact. The department confirmed Schrader's last recorded vehicle read on Flock Safety camera data was Nov. 19, which was determined irrelevant to the investigation. Subsequently, an emergency phone ping was authorized and last known GPS coordinates placed Schrader in the area of Donner Pass Road near Norden. APD confirmed checks were made in the area of her last GPS coordinates but checks yielded negative results. The department confirmed Schrader was located with the assistance of an off-duty Sacramento County Sheriff's Office deputy and the Placer County Sheriff's Office. "We would like to thank the community for sharing our post and for their continued support, which greatly assisted in expediting this search," APD said Friday.
