San Juan Lightning are under-11 boys Northern California Champions

The San Juan Lightning 2000 Blue under-11 boys' soccer team continued their remarkable run by winning back-to-back NorCal State Cup Championships with a 5-1 victory over highly regarded Santa Clara Sporting. The final match of the 112-team tournament that began in September concluded on Feb. 12, in Woodland. The much-anticipated match saw the first half end with San Juan leading 2-1, and two early second half goals dashed any hopes Santa Clara had of taking the crown from the defending State Cup champions. This championship completed another great season for San Juan Lightning and concluded their 2010 campaign that included championships at the Manteca FC Spring Invitational, Nomads Northern Showcase, San Juan SC California Cup, Santa Barbara Youth Showcase, and NorCal Fall League/Region 6. Team members include BJ Askew, Alexander Chimienti, Amar Dhillon, Dylan Finley, Casey Harris, Jayce McCain, Ricky Miranda, Noah Sonenstein and Joel Tomlinson. Anthony Chimienti and Rino Chimienti coach the team.
