Extreme Rock Crawling at Donner

RENO, Nev. _ Rock crawling fans can catch some action the weekend of July 9-10 at Donner Ski Ranch where Round 3 of the Cal-Neva Extreme Rock Crawling Competition will be held. The event is open to spectators, and those who wish to join in.Presented by Yukon Gear & Axle, the gates open at 9 a.m. with the competition beginning at 10. Adult tickets are $15 ($20 for a two-day pass), and children 8-15 pay $5. Those under 7 get in free."These next two events will be the best of the year," said Cal-Neva President Glenn Bonner; Round 4 is scheduled for Aug. 20-21. "We're looking forward to seeing some tough competition out there on the extreme courses that will be set up to totally challenge the drivers and their rigs," Bonner added.Bonner said they are looking for Utility Terrain Vehicle competitors in the stock and modified class for side-by-sides. Entrants must register at least a week in advance of the event.
