Robert (Bob) Thomas12/24/1933 - 11/17/2005 Bob Thomas was born Avoca, Minnesota on December 24, 1932, and passed away on November 17, 2005 at the age of 73. He is greatly missed by his loving wife of 48 years, Marilyn of Loomis, CA; his nine children: Susan Scheuerman and her husband Marty of Reno, NV, James Thomas and his wife Sue, of Sacramento, CA, Karen Will and her husband Charlie of Loomis, CA, Laura Frost of Loomis, CA, Robert Thomas and his wife Stacy of Loomis, CA, Joseph Thomas and his wife Kristin of Penryn, CA, Cristin Mater and her husband Terry of Roseville, CA, John Thomas and his wife Jennifer of Leesburg, VA, Patty Olson and her husband Rob of Rocklin, CA. Also, morning his death are the lights of his life, his grandchildren: Erin, Shawnna, Chad, Kristina, Cory, Brian, Derek, Kevin, Jake, Dylan, Nick, Trevor, Tyler, Taylor, Clayton, Jason, Garrett, Evan, Ryan, Jessica, Benjamin, Joshua and Katie. As a small child, he and his parents moved to Los Angeles with his six brothers and sisters. After spending the remainder of his childhood in Los Angeles, he entered the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict where he served admirably. He returned to the Los Angeles area after his tour of duty and became a deputy sheriff for L.A. County. He was assigned to the Wayside Honor Ranch in Saugus, CA and retired after 25 years of service, from the Valencia station. His love for sports and his children lead him to coach baseball and Pop Warner football for many years. He helped establish Canyon County Little League. After retirement, he and his family moved to Loomis, CA, where he became an avid Del Oro sports fan. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren compete in football, baseball, basketball and water polo. Bob made friends wherever he went. He was known as the silver dollar guy because he would give them out to everyone. He was always quick with a joke with his workout buddies at the Kaiser Cardiac Rehab Center. A celebration of his life will be held at his home on Saturday Nov. 26, 2005 at 2 p.m.Dickson, Elizabeth Larson2/14/1912 - 11/15/2005 Born February 14, 1912 in Thatcher, Arizona to Joseph Heber and Lottie W. Larson and passed away on November 15, 2005 in Folsom, California. Her beloved husband Bertram preceded her in death on August 29, 1992. Elizabeth is survived by her devoted children Linton Dickson and wife Sandra, Diane Jackson, Launa Hatfield and husband Jim, and Jeanine Schafer and husband Bob. She will also be greatly missed by her 16 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, sister Pauline Mykles, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides raising four children she was involved in many activities such as PTA president, playing organ, square dancing, and bridge. She was near 50 when she earned a teaching degree, and taught for 14 years in San Juan Unified School District. After moving to Pinebrook near Folsom she continued her bridge and organ playing, and learned to tap, hula and round dance which continued until well into her eighties. Services were held at Mount Vernon Memorial Park on November 21, 2005.Victor Forrest "Slim" Williams, Sr.2/12/1913 - 11/18/2005 Born on February 12, 1913 in Archer County, Texas to Joe and Eva Williams, entered into rest on November 18, 2005 in Roseville, CA at the age of 92 years. Slim was a long time Placer County resident. He enjoyed fiddle making and was a member of the Old Time Fiddlers. He also had many occupations; horse breaker, truck driver and parts house manager. Slim is survived by his cherished family, J.D. Williams and his wife, Phyllis of Ridgecrest CA; Victory Williams, Jr. and his wife, Angela of Loomis, CA; and Audry Upton and her husband, Johnny of Granite Bay, CA; 18 cherished grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and 18 great great grandchildren; and his half-sister, Selma. Slim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Babe; three children, Paul, Leslie and Lee Allen; his siblings, Henry, Carl and Nadine. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, November 22, 2205 at 10 a.m. at Roseville District Cemetery, 421 Berry St., Roseville, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Alzheimer's Society. She was born on August 30, 1974 in French Camp, CA. Francesca is survived by her parents Beatrice Coronado Valencia and Rafael N. Valencia; uncles Ruben, Frank, Ray, Ismael and John Coronado; aunts Delia, Blanca and Cynthia Coronado, Lollie Gonzalez, Marie Charvin; and numerous cousins and other family members. Friends and family are invited to attend her Rosary on Sunday, November 27, 2005, 11:00a.m., at St. Rose Catholic Church, 615 Vine Avenue, Roseville, CA.
