Lorelei Schwanke10/19/1932 - 2/13/2006 Passed away on February 13, 2006 in Sacramento, CA. She was born on October 19, 1932 in French Camp, CA. Lorelei was preceded in death by her parents James and Sophie Frantson; husband Wade Schwanke Sr.; and infant daughter Linda Lee Schwanke. She is survived by daughter Shirley Shingara (Don); son Brian Schwanke (Nichole); brother Glenn Frantson (Jewel); step sons: Randy Schwanke (Nancy), Wade Schwanke Jr. (Debbie) and Ken Babcock (Debby); grandchildren: Kacie and Amy Shingara, Kyra Whiteacre, Brett and Leah Schwanke and 6 step-grandchildren. Lorelei was valedictorian of her class at Galt High School, 1950. She worked for Sears as a bookkeeper for 38 years and loved butterflies, flowers and Country Western music. Family and friends are invited to attend viewing from noon-1 p.m. and a funeral service following on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Antelope Rd. and Rosswood Ave. in Citrus Heights, CA.Pearl StevensFebruary 12, 2006 Pearl Stevens, age 88, passed away February 12, 2006 in Myrtle Point, OR. She was born in Woodward, OK moving to Citrus Heights in 1962 and then relocating to Oregon in 2002. Before retirement she worked for Sears as a retail sales clerk. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for 40 years. Pearl is survived by her daughter Dorothy (Bill) Powers of Coquille, OR; and sons LeRoy (Janie) Stevens of Yukon, OK, Vernon (Carole) Stevens of Carson City, NV, JB (Sue) Stevens of Meadow Vista, CA and Norvil (Paula) Stevens of Carson City, NV. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Orvil Stevens; great grandson Nicolas; and son James Robert. Pearl was a wonderful Christian wife, mother and grandmother. Friends are invited to funeral services Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at Reichert's Funeral Chapel, 7320 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights and interment at Sylvan Cemetery. In a tragedy of unspeakable proportion, the world has lost a man who was a loving and dedicated husband and father; a cherished son; a most-loved brother; an uncle; a godparent; a loyal employee, and a friend to countless people in his neighborhood and throughout the world. Jimmy was born on April 4, 1962, in San Pedro, CA. His family moved to the Sierra Foothill community of Weimar in 1969. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1980 where he forged numerous friendships which he and his family continue to enjoy over 25 years later - a true testimonial to the loyalty and love he felt for all those who have touched his life. Jimmy took his wife Gail to a Styx concert for their first date in July of 1981 and they have spent 25 years together. In high school, Jimmy participated in many sports, including football, ski club, and baseball. His true love was flying, which he pursued in college. Flying was an activity for which he had a profound respect when it came to safety - a lifelong tenet instilled in him by his own father who was a pilot in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronau-tical University in Prescott, AZ, in April, 1987, earning a degree in Aeronautical Studies. Jimmy's career path led him into the restaurant industry where he was employed for many years. In 2003, he changed course and he became a construction manager, supervising long-term projects at both Travis and Beale AFB. His favorite activities were always ones that he could enjoy with his friends. Jimmy was an avid golfer with a large circle of golf buddies. He loved fishing, diving for abalone with his father-in-law Don and playing on a men's softball team. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, James A. McIsaac, Sr.. He is survived by his wife Gail and son Anthony, age 12, of Roseville; mother Norma McIsaac of Davis, CA; sister Pamela Gibbs (James) of Rocklin, CA; sister Nancy Steinbach (Bradley) of Rocklin, CA; Gail's parents, Don and Pat Atwood of Loomis, CA and grandmother by marriage, Susie Preisen of Shingle Springs, CA; sisters-in-law Glenda Hay (Terry) and Julianne Atwood all of Roseville. Also survived by his aunt Dorothy Sikora and cousin Janis Lindsey of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, and numerous cousins across the country. "Uncle Jimmy" had many nieces and nephews: Lexie and Jimmy Gibbs, Bradley and Blake Steinbach, Nicholas and Cory Hensley, Patrick Hay, and Ryan Brisbin. Jimmy felt fortunate to be a member of his Roseville neighborhood and showed his gratitude by being the consummate community servant. He coached and refereed baseball, basketball and soccer, was active in Cub Scouts and as a volunteer for the SPCA's annual BBQ and Blues event. He hosted countless block parties with his neighbors, which we hope have left them with volumes of funny stories, photographs, and an eternity of happy memories. Without a doubt, all who knew him will remember Jimmy's smiling face whenever they hear a song by his favorite band, Styx. There was nothing more important to Jimmy than his family. His love and respect for the fragility of life made him quite the humanitarian that we should all strive to be. Three years ago when his son Anthony was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes, Jimmy and his wife Gail became active members of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation ("JDRF"). With the help of so many who loved and cared for him and his family, they have raised over $40,000 for JDRF. It was Jimmy's hope that with continued hard work and perseverance, a cure will be found for this disease during Anthony's lifetime. A Catholic mass will be held for Jimmy on Monday, February 20, 2006, at 11 a.m., at St. Peter & Paul Church, 4450 Granite Drive, Rocklin, CA. A reception will follow in the Church's Social Hall. She was lifetime member of the Soroptomist Federation of the Americas since 1958 and Soroptomist Int'l. of Roseville. Melba Erven, long time friend and fellow Soroptomist remembers Mary being Vice President from 1959-1960 and President 1960-1961. Mary was a member of the California Federation of Women's Clubs. She served on the committee as the district and national delegate and served as the committee member of District and Federation. She was their delegate for many years, attending international conventions throughout Europe including France, England, Italy, Greece, Canada, Australia and Nationally in New Jersey, Hawaii, Alaska, Tennessee and Colorado. Mary was also an honorary member of the Elks Club under her late husband Monty Joseph and was a charter member of the Sierra View Country Club. She was past president of the Women's Improvement Club, president of the American Cancer Society, was on the board of directors for "PRIDE" - Placer Rehabilitation Industries Dept. of Education. Mary was very supportive of local youth programs, Boy Scouts, Camp Fire Girls, Pop Warner Football, Little League Baseball Team and PTA president. She was a founding member of several children's programs; i.e. domestic violence, child abuse, etc. She was a lifetime member of Eastern Star and was Ester in 1972 and was elected to be Worthy Matron in 1976-77. Mary is survived by her loving family: daughter Mary (Curtis) Joseph Debord of Sparks, NV; sons Daniel N. (Elena) Joseph of Reno, NV, Michael C. (Ruth) Joseph of Roseville and Robert R. (Jeanann) Kolak of Dutch Flat, CA. She also leaves behind a brother Joseph Rukovania; and grandchildren Billy J. Wellesley and Robert W. Wellesley, both of Sparks, NV, Amy Marie Joseph Kirby oTucsonon, AZ, Daniel I. Joseph, Isaac M. Joseph and Evelyn A. Joseph all of Roseville, CA, and Cindy Kolak of Ontario, Canada; and great-grandchildren Alexander Z. Wellesley, Ethan M. Joseph, Abigail S. Joseph, Hailey A. Joseph, Alyssa R. Wellesley and Robert Z. Wellesley. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Mary's name to the charity of your choice. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at Reichert's Funeral Chapel and interment was at Calvary Cemetery.
