Newest Nugget opens in Roseville todayA supermarket chain known for stocking the basics as well as hard-to-find gourmet items is now open in Roseville.Woodland-based Nugget Markets today opened its eighth Nugget at 771 Pleasant Grove Blvd.The family-owned grocery chain, which also operates three Food 4 Less stores, stresses an upscale feel, customer service and high-quality produce, meats and seafood. It also boasts a full-service prepared food section, as well as houseware items.It's the first Nugget to open in Placer County, and the latest in a string of openings planned for the area. El Dorado Hills and Elk Grove are also slated to get Nuggets this year.The Roseville store will employ roughly 120 full- and part-time jobs, according to the company.Hours will be from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. "We wanted a business that we could take with us anywhere, versus a storefront with the responsibility of operating hours and overhead," Angell said. "Cybertary was the perfect solution for us to maximize our professional skills and find work/life balance."
