City of Rocklin's fall sports programs underway; Arena soccer leagues being formed in Roseville

The City of Rocklin is currently accepting registration for a wide variety of youth and adult sports programs. Adult sport offerings include volleyball, softball, basketball and flag football on a variety of nights and for all skill levels. A new Old School Games League is also being offered that includes weekly play in dodgeball, whiffle ball, kickball and other games from the past. Youth offerings include the popular NFL Flag Football League for children in grades 4-8, Spike the Rock Volleyball for grades 5-8, and Slap the Rock Inline Hockey for ages 7-17. Outstanding amateurs, selected from as many as 25 states nationwide, will compete against international all-star teams during the 2004-05 winter and summer school breaks. Open tryouts are scheduled for Sept. 2 (5 p.m.) at the United Sports Complex in Stockton and Sept. 11 at Solano College in Suisun City (10 a.m.).
