Auto Events Calendar: Final Auburn Cruise Nite of the Season Sept. 11

Friday, Sept. 11The fifth and final show of the Auburn Cruise Nite car show season runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 on Lincoln Way in Downtown Auburn. Auburn Cruise Nite is open to pre-1972 vehicles and admission is free to the public and classic vehicle owners. There will be street vendors, music and awards given out.Saturday, Sept. 12The 10th annual Roamin Angels Car Show takes place Sept. 12-13 at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley. The show will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 13. Cost for the event is $5 for adults and children 12 and under and parking are free. More than 900 classic vehicles will be on hand and more than 60 trophies will be handed out. For more information visit roaminangels.com or call (866) 432-8449.Sunday, Sept. 13The NorCal Motorcycle Club will be hosting a Barbecue and Poker Run to benefit the victims of the Auburn 49 Fire on Sunday, Sept. 13. The event will take place at NORCAL Motor Company, 2630 Grass Valley Highway and will have events for both the general community and the motorcycling community. The Poker Run will be a 100-mile ride through the foothills with stops at various locations along the way. The Poker Run starts at NORCAL in Auburn at 8:30 a.m. and returns back to NORCAL at around 3 p.m. There will be a barbecue and live band along with prizes for the best poker hand. The cost is $20 per rider and $15 for passengers.The barbecue will run from 3-7 p.m. and is open to the public. The cost of the barbecue is $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
