Phillips, born on Feb. 18, 1914 in CO, passed away on Dec. 6, 2005 in Roseville, CA, at the age of 91 years.A 1933 graduate of Folsom High School, Tense was a gifted artist and the cherished wife of "Folsom" Jim Phillips of Roseville, CA; beloved mother of Jerry Markell and his wife, Lauren of Arlington, WA, Bill Phillips and his wife, Pat of Folsom, CA, Linvel Phillips and his wife, Nina of Folsom, CA, and Barbara Jiusti and her husband, Emil of Citrus Heights, CA; and grandmother of Jay Markell and Jamie Palmer. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Ed Markell.Friends and family attended a celebration of Tense's life on Monday Dec. 12, 2005 at 11 a.m. at First Southern Baptist Church of Roseville, 1301 Coloma Way, Roseville, CA. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the New Auburn District Cemetery, 1040 Collins Dr., Auburn, CA. Lambert Funeral Home, Directors.
