Good morning, good night and everything in between

I just woke up and must now write these words. Are you a "morning person"? What is such a creature? No snooze alarm, no "just five more minutes."I go to work and hit it hard and as the day wears on my body starts sending reminders that it has been working faithfully for more than 47 years and needs a break.By the way, have you ever heard of an "afternoon person"? I haven't. That would probably be the worst kind. This type can't get it going in the morning and can't sustain things at night. All they have is a window of opportunity from midday to late afternoon.Some people fuel themselves with caffeine or nicotine to maintain their vigilance. Others, from south of the border, enjoy the siesta, the sixth hour (noon). They had the "power nap" before we ever heard of such.Although he was from Switzerland, my grandfather used to take a nap at noon every day and listen to the news on his little transistor radio.Back then it seemed like such an odd thing to do. What? Go to sleep in the middle of the day?Now, from this vantage point, it seems like such an attractive anticipation.
