Whistle blown on extravagant flight

Wow! To think Supervisor Rocky Rockholm would pay almost $10,000 for an 800-mile, round-trip airfare to Provo, Utah from Truckee is unbelievable considering the cost is normally around $600 for folks like you and me.But I guess it was OK for Supervisor Rockholm to put out the 10 grand as long as the taxpayers of Placer County were picking up the tab. Supervisor Rockholm must have been in first class with the CEOs of GM and Ford.An article indicated that Supervisor Rockholm prayed with his wife for guidance in deciding whether he should pay back the money to the taxpayers but that was only after Wally Reemelin, president of the government watchdog group, League of Placer County Taxpayers, blew the whistle on Mr. Rockholm's extravagant plane flight.If it hadn't been for Mr. Reemelin and his group, Supervisor Rockholm would have gotten a free $10,000 ride on the taxpayers of Placer County.Elaine O'DeeganRocklin
